Course introduction
Taping techniques have long been used in rehabilitative applications where joints such as the ankle, knee, shoulder or wrist can be strapped. Taping techniques can assist in injury prevention and protection from re-injury whilst returning to activities. The principles of taping are to limit the movement of an injured joint and also provide support to the surrounding muscles that may be under additional strain. Taping may also enhance proprioception or kinaesthetic feedback.
